Aim of the work - to work out a national standard of Ukraine, which will ensure obtaining of high qualitative tomato hybrid seeds with minimal expenses and preservation of their economically-valuable varietal qualities. The worked out standard is interconnected with normative documents in force on environment protection, safety of labour during carrying out all technological operations for obtaining of hybrid seeds. The worked out a national standard of Ukraine on the technology of tomato hybrids seeds growing in the sheltered ground is based on the scientifically substantiated technology of this crop growing with the use of complex mechanization, optimal norms of fertilizers, system of plants protection from harmful organisms, irrigation, with the corresponding methods of crossing and isolating hybrid seeds, which are up to the modern level of science and technics. The object of standardization is characterized as a normative document, which regulates the technology of tomato hybrid seeds growing, favours preservation of varietal and raises sowing qualities of seeds. The total of the fulfilled work is summed up as well as the sphere of the normative document usage. Novelty - the Standard is brought into accord with the requirements of international standards, with modern demands of consumers and the State System of Standardization. The Standard is being worked for the first time in Ukraine and after coming in force it will be used at farms of all forms of property in Ukraine, which are occupied with production of tomato hybrid seeds.
