The purpose of the work is to develop a method of making analysis on presence of chlororganic compounds and the practical verification of completeness of utilization of chlororganic compounds and heavy metals in slimes which go into processing. Research methods are qualitative and quantitative determination of chlororganic compounds with the use of the method of a thin-layer chromatography and determination of heavy metals by a photocolormetric method. Wastes which are intended for utilization by the way of pyrolysis are soils or mixtures on the basis of soils which contain chlororganic compounds or heavy metals, or if they contain both constituents simultaneously, which are to be determinated as to their quantity and quality. Two methods are developed, which allow an express determination of the qualitative composition of chlororganic compounds, their identification and determination of the quantity of mercury they contain. 37 samples of soils and slimes have been analysed. The presence of a number of chlororganic compounds is found in 20 samples and the presence of mercury in five samples. It is stated that as a result of high temperature pyrolysis a positive result in relation to elimination of harmful constituents can not always be attained. On some occasions there are products of transformation in the products of pyrolysis, namely mixture of chlororganic compounds of an indefinite composition. The results of research work are inculcated in the technologies of utilization of mixtures which contain chlororganic compounds and heavy metals and allowed to optimize the technological modes of pyrolysis and provide the completeness of utilization. Prognosis suppositions in relation to the development of the research object are the identification of products of a high temperature transformation of chlororganic compounds and the development of parameters of the technological process, which provide completeness of utilization of chlororganic compounds and revision of the method of determination of mercury by a photocolormetric method in the part of choice of extractant and the determination of compounds which interfere with definition.
