The analysis of authenticity of existent materials and their sufficientness is executed for the estimation of modern radiation situation on contaminated territories. The re-calculation of density of contamination of soils by levels of Cs-137, Sr-90 is made, taking into account their natural decay to 2006th for settlements, attributed to the proper areas of radio-active contamination. The conclusions about radiation situation on contaminated territories was done using the materials of actual radiological information and literatury date. The recommendations directed on increasing of radiation safety of population, their vital functions taking place on contaminated territories are prepared.
