Mass use of cable production deduces a problem of maintenance of its fire safety on one of the first places. The high level of fire danger of cable production is connected to use of fuel and the materials capable to smoke formation, formation toxic and corrosion-active. Fire danger of cable production is connected also to specificity of operation: in the significant extent of cable lines, high concentration of fuel on unit of length of a lining and operation without the attendants. In the world it is recognized, that an effective measure of prevention of fires is the estimation of fire danger of production at stages of its designing and manufacturing. However, efficiency of this method can be insufficient if in normative documents requirements to parameters which are necessary for acceptance of optimum decisions duringa choice of systems of fire-prevention protection of objects are not established.
