The goal of the research is application and improvement of Sm-Nd and Lu-Hf isotopic dating techniques in Analytical Laboratory of Ukrainian Geological Exploration Institute (UkrDGRI). Methods of the research: mass-spectometric analysis, ion-exchange chromatography, chemical analysis by XRF and Electron Microprobe, optical petrographical methods. Chemical preparation of the samples (whole-rocks, rock forming minerals - plagioclase, pyroxene, peridot, etc.) for Sm-Nd dating and zircon samples for Lu-Hf isotopic dating was implemented. The samples containing isotopes of Sm, Nd, Lu, Hf were analyzed using mass-spectrometer. The controlling software of the МИ-1201 АТ mass-spectrometer and the isotopic analysis software was enhanced. The dating of gabbro -dolerites were done using Sm-Nd isochronous method which had proven the method effectivenessfor such rocks dating.
