Ecological consequences of environmental contamination are certain at floods of oil and mineral oil as a result of railway failures. It is established, that at failures with mineral oil there is a pollution of all components of biosphere: air, reservoirs and grounds. The analysis of modern sorbents - absorbers of mineral oil is lead. Their characteristics and a condition of application are investigated. It is recommended for liquidation of consequences of failures with mineral oil to use waste of the enterprises metallurgical, power, building and tree a process the industries of Ukraine, and also some natural materials. Recommendations concerning use of absorbers are given, their account characteristics are certain, directions of recycling of waste of absorption and a ground with ablack oil are offered.
