Purpose of work is researches of possibility, terms of realization and expedience of increase of initial temperature of steam for the rise of economy of existent power units. Research methods are analysis of putting into operation process of the HPP acting coal power units, reasons of mass boilers and turbines equipment damages in an initial period, analysis of changing situation on different aspects of reequipment and construction of modern power units, providing of technical and economical comparative calculations. Considerable attention in the project is paid to developments in the field of modern heat-resistant steels and prospect of their application at the reconstruction of existent power equipment and planning of modern power units, including on the supercritical parameters of steam.
