Research purpose - thermoelectric generators (TEG) for autonomous telemetry systems of gas-distributing stations. The objective of the work is to create long-lived 10-15 W thermoelectric power sources for electronic systems of natural gas assessment, its automated odorization, telemetry equipment and safety automatics of gas-distributing stations. Methods of research - methods of mathematical physics, thermodynamics of irreversible processes, methods of thermogenerators computer simulation and design, physical methods of experimental studies. Simulation and computer design methods were used to develop constructions of long-lived thermoelectric power sources, solving the problems of autonomous power supply and increased operational safety of gas-distributing stations. Based on the results of design, two types of thermogenerators have been created and experimentally studied: explosion-proof generators based ona vortex tube and gas-fueled long-lived generators. Design optimization of generators has been made, design documentation for two types of generators and engineering specifications for prototypes have been elaborated. The elaborated generators have been proposed for application at "Ukrtransgaz" subsidiary and enterprises of coal industry of Ukraine.
