Phys. popup.description2 The purpose of the work is development of scientific-technological bases of creation of modern constructions of heat pipes with longitudinal grooves in order to extend knowledge of mechanism of heat-mass transfer and search of new ways of reduction of thermal resistance of designs of heat pipes. As a result of realization of this work comparison of the published physical models of functioning of heat pipes is conducted, the model of functioning of heat pipe in the case of presence of surplus of heat-carrier in the form of puddle is developed, coefficients of friction at motion of heat-carrier along the channels of microgrooves of rectangular, trapezoid and omega-shaped forms are specified theoretically and confirmed by the experiments, the thermotechnical testing of samples of heat pipes with the channels of omega-shaped form, which were covered by a porous layer, showed reduction of thermal resistance in the zone of heat input in 1,5 - 2 times. The subsequent development of technology of applying of porous coverage will allow functioning with a minimum possible temperature drop in the heat input zone of heat pipes at the increase of heat flux that will promote the more wide use of heat pipes in space industry.
