Goal: to estimate significance of oxidative component of psycho-emotional stress in realization of remote consequences of exposure to sublethal doses and effectiveness of antioxidant means in correction disturbances of higher nervous activity in rats. It is shown that in the case of antioxidant supplementation before exposure (2.5 Gy and 6.0 Gy), the parameters of conditioned behavior in animals either did not differ from those in control animals or exceeded them. Quercitin supplementation beginning with the 2nd day after the exposure decreased changes of some indices, mostly at the dose of 2.5 Gy. Quercitin supplementation beginning with 30th day after exposure did not modify behavioral response to the exposure to any of the doses. Obtained results lead to the conclusion that at nonlethal doses of exposure to ionizing radiation, negative consequences for higher nervous at remote terms and under stressful conditions are first of all conditioned by profound and prolonged changes conditioned by the oxidative stress caused by exposure.
