Goal: To identify the realization possibility of the hidden chromosome instability in the human somatic cells on distant terms after Chornobyl accident. Methods: cytogenetic analysis of human peripheral blood lymphocytes. With the help of modifying by us "G2-bleomycin sensitivity assay" the investigation of hidden chromosome instability in unexposed donors and in persons with different intensity of radiation exposure had been fulfilled. In all examined groups the individual levels of chromosome aberrations varied in wide range and didn't depend on their initial background values. Maximal frequency of cases (57.9%) hypersensitive to testing bleomycin exposure had been identified among patients recovered from acute radiation sickness. In other examined groups frequencies of individuals with hidden chromosome instability were quite the same and didn't exceed 33.3%. The data received confirmed the reality of radiation induced change of inherited human chromosomes susceptibility to mutagen exposure that depend on intensity and specificity of irradiation.
