Objective: improving medical support of children, residing in rural locality. Methods: medico-statistical, analytical, and expert estimation. Theoretical and practical results: health status (morbidity, prevalence, and structure of diseases) of children, residing in rural locality, was analyzed under conditions of reforming primary medico-sanitary assistance on the principles of family medicine (FM). There were worked out and proposed qualitative criteria of FD activity types, standards of estimating performance characteristics of FM institutions concerning prophylactic medical examination and providing medical assistance to country children, as well as regulations as regards activity types of FD, highly specialized doctors, and of middle section medical personnel in the course of regular medical observation of countryside children. Novelty: a technology for regular medical observation of children in rural locality by FD has been worked out. Effectiveness: improving the quality of organizing medical support of countryside children for preserving and maintaining their health.
