Research object: health status of adolescents aged 16 to 18, born into the families of the Chernobyl disaster (1986-87) liquidators and of matching in age adolescents - inhabitants of Kharkiv. Objective: improvement of medico-prophylactic assistance to adolescents from the families of the Chernobyl disaster liquidators on the basis of studying dynamics of their development, as well as of immunohormonal and metabolic relations, and of forming pathology. Methods: conventional clinical, psychological, hormonal, immunological, cytogenetic, and instrumental (ECG, FCS, echo-CS, echo-CG, ultrasound investigation of the thyroid gland and small pelvis organs), and statistical. Theoretical and practical results: it was established that by the age of 16-18 in the structure of significant pathological affection of the Chernobyl liquidators' descendants there prevailed neuropsychic diseases, digestive disorders and inborn developmental defects. Preservation of signs of genome silent instability in such childrenwas revealed by cytogenetic monitoring, together with a decrease in immunoreactivity caused by phagocytosis and cellular immunity insufficiency. Correlations between immune disorders development and oxidative homeostasis peculiarities were traced. There were determined diversly directed gender-dependent disorders in hormonal supply of adolescents, born into the families of liquidators: prolonged melatonin insufficiency and metabolic disorders in thyroidal hormones exchange in boys, as well as pituitary gonadotropic hormones and sex steroids disorders in girls. There were established limitations in sociopsychological adaptation owing to a decrease in the tolerance to physical load and to an increased level of emotional stress. Algorithm for rendering medical and prophylactical assistance to descendants of liquidators within therapeutic network was worked out. Recommendations for their professional orientation and selection were proposed. Novelty: it was proved that at the end of puberty in the descendants of liquidators there took place a decrease in adaptational and compensatory mechanisms that was caused by long-term shifts in immunoreactivity, by hormonal and metabolic dysregulations and genome instability. Effectiveness: early revealing of predictors of multifactorial pathology development and of complicated course of somatic diseases will make it possible to reduce expences for treatment and rehabilitation of said adolescents. Employment of algorithm for dispensary observation and developing appropriate prof. orientation will contribute to certain rise of life quality in adult persons.
