The purpose of research is the synthesis, determination of structure and reaction ability of new N-arylthio- and N-arylsulfinil-1,4-benzoquinoneimines, the conditions of conversions between the quinonimine classes with sulfur (II), (IV) and (VI). Methods of research are organic synthesis, IR, NMR 1H and NMR 13С spectroscopy, X-Ray, the element analysis of new compounds. The series of N-arylthio- N-arylsulfinil- and N-arylsulfonil-1,4-benzoquinoneimines have been obtained. The structure and spectral characteristics have been established. The features of reactions of N-arylthio- and N-arylsulfinil-1,4-benzoquinoneimines with arylsulfinic acids, azide and HCl have been discovered. The optical activity of obtained compounds has been studied.
