The aim of the work is working out the branch standard "Search-and-rescue operations in blind drifts. Action rules". The investigation methods are the combined one that includes theoretical investigations, computer simulation technique and mine measurement during the accidents. The investigations have shown that the use of existing methods of decrease of methane content by gas content of the blind drift of more than 20 cubis metres/min is separately inefficient; therefore it is necessary to apply the special ventilation system that meets following requirements: the air, which composition and quality meet the requirements of normative documents, is moving along the blind drift where people are found; methane, toxic combustion products and hot gases from the blind drift are removed generally by means of the special pipe-line; ventilating blowers and equipment, during operation of which sparking can take place, what in one's turn can result in the methane explosion, should not be used for movement of methane and other harmful substances along the pipe-line. The special system for ventilation of the blind drifts developed by us that integrates elements of all methods of decrease of the methane content, that is to say methane dilution, its isolated withdrawal and methane absorption by coal, meet those requirements. The temperature reduction in the blind drift comes true similarly. The developed technology of the underground accident elimination will ensure: secure heat conditions for the work of mine rescuers, what will preclude cases of their heat defeat; exception of explosive situations in the blind drifts; carrying out the search-and-rescue operations in the breathing suitable air; fulfilment of the requirements of "The safety regulations in the coal mines". This technology was a basis for creation of the Branch Standard of the Ukraine "Search-and-rescue operations in blind drifts. Action rules". The prognostic suppositions concerning introduction of the object of investigations are decrease of the accident elimination time and damages from them.
