Ranges of isomorphous substitution of vanadate , silicate and sulfate ions for phosphate ions are determined. The capability of the conjugate substi-tution for cation and anion sublattices of apatite structure is investi-gated. Phase balance in polycrystalline samples is investigated. The dimensions of the unit cells, interatomic distances and positions of atoms in crystal structure of apatite are determined. Influence of vari-ous factors on possibility of replacement is found. It is established, that the substitution of sulfate ion for phosphate ion occurs in a nar-row interval. Wider ranges of homogeneity are formed when phos-phate ion is replaced by equal parts of sulfate and silicate ions.
