It was found that phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylinositol and phosphatidic acid binding to 5-LO results in the replacement of the substrate from the enzyme. It is imply the allosteric regulation of the 5-lipoxygenase activity by phospholipids. It was show that thermoinactivation rate constants and activation energy of enzyme thermoinactivation were increased in the presence of allosteric effectors.
