Radiation effects were analyzed which can force constructional materials of nuclear power stations to lose performance attributes. This effects were shown to evident through observation of optical phenomena. Experimental techniques (spectro-ellipsometric) which are going to be used for investigation were upgraded. Metal alloys treatment experiments were performed with electron beams, ion and plasma fluxes in different energy ranges for further revealing of radiation-induced faulted structure by means of optical methods. Locked-up stresses which can be seen in polarized light were shown to remain in remelted surface layer on aluminum alloys being irradiated with intense electron beam. Metals and alloys processing technique was developed for imitating a complex of acting temperature, mechanical and radiation factors, which can imitate material damage mechanisms in nuclear power reactors. Requirements specifications were developed for methods to imitate working conditions such as impact of ionized particles with energies that correspond to fragments of decay in nuclear thermal neutron reactors and also impact of particle flux with energies that can initiate plasma effects on material surface. Radiation-induced transforms were studied which impact physical-mechanical properties of irradiated metals and alloys. Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
