Mathematical model that describes liquid motion in the chamber of auto-balancing unit, which is set on machines with horizontal axis of rotor rotation, has been created. It's been projected and created experimental auto-balancing unit which allows to research auto-balancing process of a rotor with horizontal axis of rotation. Automatic balancing has reduced vibration of machine rotor in 1.4 times at pre-critical frequency (w=0.8wcr), in 3.3 times at critical frequency (w=wcr) and in 4.6 times at over-critical frequency (w=1.5wcr) of rotor rotation. There were made the video-shooting to capture motion of liquid in auto-balancer, recording oscillations and analysis of balancing effectiveness. A possibility was researched for automatic balancing wheels on the cars VAS2102, VAS2110 and Daewoo Lanos during their test-drive.
