The modelling of radiocontamination and search for dangerous radioactive materials during their illegal transporting was made. Requirements to vehicle and algorithmic part of the developed device were laid out. Original algorithms for digital signal processing of detectors' output were developed and analysed, as well as were developed and analysed algorithms for spectrometry data processing, methods for expert judgement of situation and decision-making algorithms, all of the above adapted to the requirements of device's calculation kernel. Circuit solutions for perspective devices, based on digital signal processors by Texas Instruments, were developed and studied. A practical implementation of this work would allow a creation of a device that meets modern international standards and would be competitive in the world market.
