It was shown that the intumescent system, balanced in its composition, usually requires no salts, oxides, heavy metal hydroxides and fire-retardant organic additives except the crystallohydrates of inorganic salts and organic compounds usable as non-combustible heat-insulation frameworks. The results can be used in fire-proofing polymer materials, development of the thermo-resistant polymers and fire-protective polymeric coatings.
