Purpose of work: research of the failures of the electric equipment of the coaches of the domestic manufacture (JSC Kriukov car building works) and the determination of the reliability indexes of the electric equipment during the maintenance (reliability maintenance indexes). There are the results of the information acquisition and preliminary analysis concerning the failures of the elements of the electric equipment of the coaches of the domestic manufacture during the maintenance with Southern, Southern-Western railways, as well as with Pridnieprovsk and Donezk railways. The results of R&D are used with the enterprises of rolling stock sector of Ukrzaliznytsia and manufactures of the components of the electric equipment system of the coaches with the aim of increase of the equipment reliability. This equipment is applied within the electric equipment systems of the coaches of the high speed trains. Expected assumption concerning the subject of inquiry - manufacturing of the components of the electric equipment of the coaches of the high speed trains reliability of which meets the requirements of the normative acts concerning the traffic safety and passengers safety during the passenger traffic.
