Work aim. To develop resource and saving technologies of wood use from the processes of log sawing and drying to making of products from wood. Research methods. Classic methods of experimental researches and analysis of theirs results by mehods of mathematical statistics. Received results and their novelty. The normative base for prediction of lumber recovery sawed by breakdown method or breakdown method with single basic surface or breakdown and segment method of log sawing in parallel with the log generatrix was created. The proposed base is a prerequisite for effective use of this direction in real manufacture. Prognostication of product sawed output the special methods. The scientifically grounded technical and economic indexes of dryings chambers of batch-type are developed.
