The importance of the ethnonational factor in the state-creation objectively caused the increasing of scientific and practical interest to the studying of the principal tendencies of the development of ethno-political sphere, what gives to scientists the task to begin fundamental researches of this problem. Research results: 1. Ethnical and national are found out that confessionaly development of etnichic associations of western region of Ukraine in ХІХ - ХХ ages. The dynamics of political, ethnic, cultural and religious processes is shown. The aspects of policy of governments and temporal modes are certain in the explored region in relation to basic groups and social categories of population. Achievements of Ukrainian and foreign science are explored in relation to the studyof the regional measurings of state and ethnic policy. 2. It is pointed out principal directions of state ethno-denominational policies in the territory of the USSR in the period between 1944 and 1953. Distinctions and differences in its realization in Ukraine and Russia are shown. The previous stages of state attitude to church in the USSR and Ukraine are analyzed, and also the complex of the causes which reduced in their change in a post-war period is revealed; connection between the change of an ethnic structure of the population in Ukraine which has come off owing to tragic events of war and post-war ethno-national policy of the Soviet government, and its denominational structure is carried up; it is traced dynamics of number of religious communities, gentlemen of the cloth, divine service rooms which has enabled to make a conclusion about factual influence of realization of a religious state policy on changes of a religious infrastructure in post-war Ukraine; it's got outlook across a role and place theRussian Orthodox Church in ethno-transformational processes; attempt of integrated analysis of activity in the religious underground is carried out.
