The aim of research is the creation of scientific and technical basis of energy-saving technologies of production of wood products with consideration of wood macroscopic properties. Methods of researches. Methods of mathematical statistics, classic methods of experimental researches, method of measurement, method of comparison, method of hydrostatic volume measurement, theoretical and industrial investigations of technological processes. Received results and their novelty. The mathematical models of log sawing under angle to its axis which predict the wood texture was created for the first time. These models can be use for volume recovery prediction of sawn timber with specified texture in manufacturing environments. The results of experimental investigations are suggested the theoretical hypothesis about influence of log sawing angle on original pattern of wood texture. Essential decrease of volume recovery of sawn timber and prime cost increase are occurred under log sawing in parallel to generatrix but high artistic value of sawn timber can ensure its competitive capacity. The results of experimental researches concerning measurement of volume recovery of sawn timber sawed under angle to log axis and the several properties of wood such as wood surface energy, decorative properties of finishing and non-finishing wood, penetration density of paintwork materials into wood and paintwork material costs which influence on the forming of protective decorative coatings with consideration of wood texture and density depending on sawing angle of log were determined for the first time. The glued boards with conservation of wood texture and appropriate shape stability were received from sawn timber sawed under angle to log axis.
