In comparison with pure magnesium metal the hydrogenation time was found to be times shorter and temoerature of the process decreases 120-150°C, whereas activation energy of the process becomes 2,5 times lower. Heat treatment in hydrogen was shown to increase the magnetostriction constant of ferromagnetic alloys, for example, the constant of alloys of the Fe-Co-V system increases by 30%, and that of the Dy2Fe17 alloys - by 13%.
