I. Mechnikov Odessa National University popup.description2 Subject of inquiry - kinetics and mechanism of the low-temperature carbon monoxide oxidation over catalysts, metal complexes anchored on both a natural and an acid-modified basalt tuff. Project objective - the study of effects of different factors on the catalytic activity and stability of the basalt tuff anchored metal complexes; the development of a catalyst for the low-temperature air purification from carbon monoxide (KNO-CO/BT) suitable for equipping of some light-weight filtering respiratory protective devices and apparatuses for sanitary air purification. Research methods - X-ray diffractional, infrared spectroscopic, thermogravimetric, chemical, adsorption, and kinetic. The most essential physicochemical and structural-adsorptive properties of natural and acid-modified basalt tuff samples as well as Pd(II)-Cu(II) catalysts based on them were studied with the help of the above mentioned methods. There was researched and ana-lyzed the influence of physicochemical and structural-adsorptive properties of the ba-salt tuffs and of the composition of metal complexes anchored on their surface on the activity of the catalysts obtained in the reaction of carbon monoxide oxidation by air oxygen. The study of the reaction kinetics has laid the basis for optimization of composition of Pd(II)-Cu(II) catalyst (KNO-CO/BT), the protective and operational characteristics of the latter were tested both in laboratory environment and under working conditions. The technical specifications, TU U 24.6-02071091-001:2008 Catalyst for low-temperature carbon monoxide oxidation, KNO-CO/BT, has been worked out. After ex-pert evaluation by the chief sanitary inspector of Ukraine, the TU have been approved by Derzhspozhivstahdart of Ukraine. Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
