Purpose of research - to generalize the data, obtained through a complex estimation of Chernobyl catastrophe outcomes, to estimate the opportunities for animal husbandry and forage production, necessary for sustainable development of the livestock sector, to study radiological effectiveness of application of "pure" forages and sorbent feed supplements in dairy farming.Methods of research - economic-statistical, analytical, zootechnical, radiological.Results of research - we consider "pure" forages production compatible to radiological standards as the most essential tool in the system of preventive measures. When it is impossible to escape the feeding to cows forages, polluted with high levels of radio cesium (especially in small scale private farms), it is obligatory to apply sorbent feed additives (such as naturaland modified zeolite, saponite, palygorskite). These additives provide for endo-ecological effect, resulting in 1,3 -5,9 times decrease of radio cesium transfer from feeds to animal body and milk. Besides, the milk yield increases up to 6-10%.Field of application - animal husbandry of Pollissia region, contaminated with high levels of radio active pollution.
