Work aim is developing of effective algorithm of electromagnetic wave diffraction problem solving on 2D periodic structures which based on pseudospectral time domain (PSTD) method and allowed to take into account the geometry and dispersion character of the media in optic range. Study aim is construct of program complex for solving of diffraction problem on 2D periodic structures. Study method is PSTD with auxiliary differential equations method and pole model for approximation of medium dispersion curves. In this study the effective algorithm of solving the diffraction problem on 2D periodic structures is built on base of PSTD. The program complex based on proposed algorithm was developed and approved Work direct toward development and design of new artificial materials with special properties (metamaterials) for optic and infrared ranges. The perspective direction of presented thematic development are its generalizationof algorithm for 3D diffraction problem, and input into the algorithm of nonuniform grid, which allows solving the diffraction problem for the structure with high contrast media.
