The purpose of the work - study of prevalence of cancer in rural population and develop the way of the improvement of oncological help in rural area. The methods of the study: descriptive epidemiology, statistical analysis, medical informatics. For the first time the cancer incidence of the rural population of Ukraine and dynamic models of this process during 40 years have been studied; the reliable growing of cancer incidence rates in the rural population of Ukraine was determined - in 1.5 times in female population and 1,9 times in male population; the leading place in it’s structure occupy cancer of lung, stomach, skin, oral cavity and prostate gland ( 55,5 % ) – in males; cancerof the breast, stomach, skin, cervix and corpus of uteri ( 53,9 % ) – in females. It was determined that in 1991-2007 the reduction of provision of the rural population with medical-preventive institutions of all levels took place on 2,3 %, the reduction of provision with beds reached 48,3 %, and with the oncological institutions - on 5,4 %. The defects in organizations of diagnostic and medical processes of malignant patients in rural area serves as a reason of high one-year mortality rate - 50,8 % in males and 29,7 % in females. The results of the work are intended for operative management branch, for using in pedagogical process in departments and courses of high medical educational institutions. The value of the study executed is in receiving the objective information about situation and condition of oncological help organization to rural population.
