These two reserves are initiated and countenanced by UNESCO. The fulfilled tasks are: the inventorying of the biological diversity, cadastre of the rare flora and fauna species of the western territories of Roztochya and Western Polesye. The assessment of the population trends of the important species of the biological diversity, especially birds and amphibian, are fulfilled. The proposals for the conservation of the nature population of the declining animal species of the national Red List are treated. The collaboration of the scientific group of the university and scientific departments of the nature reserve "Roztochya", Shatsk and Javoriv national natural parks are established for conservation of the biological diversity of the nature protection territories Roztochya and Western Polesye.
