The objective of the research is a scientific support of roadbed arrangement comprised of special type soils (saline soils) at motor road section. The research methods consist in the defining physical and mechanical properties of soils. The research work has resulted in the definition of physical and mechanical properties of soils used in a roadbed construction. Two types of soils have been distinguished. Moisture, consistency of the soil and a compacting factor of embankment soils have been defined.
