The developing purpose is an estimation of stability of road embankment and appreciation of soil layers, slackened by the maintenance of the raised moisture in embankment body of dam, occurred like extreme flooding after-effect. The estimation is deduced by results of dynamic sounding method. Probe methods are field tests of soils, produced by dynamic sounding. They were carried out in complex with extracting of engineering geological elements, quality control of geotechnical procedures, with consideration of structure and properties changes in soils, depth of large broken soils fragments positioning. Results of works are the executed field tests with application of dynamic sounding. Probes by sounding have shown, that the dam serving like a by-pass on section PC 81+40 - PC 84+41, is built from soils, which are different in their structural stability, including large mono block fragments. Weak soil layers with excessive moistness contain, especially in the upper part of embankment, in the top slope as well, are revealed.
