Main indicators of social-economic development of Kherson oblast in 2000-2008 are analyzed; trans-regional differences of key indicators of Kherson oblast and other regions of Ukraine are investigated; factors that bring to positive (negative) tendency in reproduction processes in Kherson oblast are determined; scenario forecasts of development of Kherson oblast are elaborated; correspondence of the draft of Programme of economic, social and cultural development of Kherson oblast for 2009 with framework and content of Strategy of economic and social development of Kherson oblast till 2015 is given an estimate; propositions for specification of separate provisions and tasks of Programme of development of Kherson oblast for 2009 as well as propositions for reduction of financial crisis affect on oblast economy are worked out.
