Research methods - a thermodynamics analysis, mathematical modeling of processes, statistical analysis of industrial heats.Research results - accomplish the theoretical analysis the process of steel out-of-furnace desulphurization by SM, which contains a lime, alumina, fluor-spar and soda ash. The calculations of sulfide capacity SM for different composition are done with the use of values optical basicity components of SM. It is shown that optimum composition of SM answers the system of CaO-Al2О3-CaF2-Na2O with maintenance of CaF2 and Na2Owithin the limits of 8-10%. The thermodynamics analysis of processes of deoxidation and desulphurization of liquid steel a calcium is executed. Optimum composition of filler of CW is set. The rational mode of introducing CW into metal of steel-pouring ladle is developed. For diminishing formation of longitudinal cracks on the surface of slab, an admixture of "polymer-forming" oxides, such as Na2O, to SM was offered.
