Karazin popup.description2 Object of studies is single and multi layer thin metal films. The aim of the project is to investigate the diffusion activity, wetting and supercooling under crystallization liquid phase in the layered film systems. The research methods. Films were obtained by means of vacuum condensation. The films structure was explored by high-energy electron diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, X-Ray diffraction methods, Auger electron spectroscopy and with the method of measuring the electrical resistivity. It has been shown that the under vacancy mechanism the surface and bulk dif-fusion coefficients increase of many orders of magnitude with reducing of the small particles sizes. Using the method of measuring the electrical resistivity of the layered film a range of supercooled liquid phase has been determined for vacuum condensates In, Sn and Pb in the Al matrix. It has been shown the effectivity of the layered film of the eutectic type to determine supercooling under crystalliza-tion, especially in the case of a good wetting. It was found that the main behaviour of the size effect of wetting persists under the deep supercooling of tin on carbon substrate and under the transition from nonwetting to partial wetting. The main results are received for the first time. Their actuality is stipulated both by fundamental nanophysics needs and wide usage of nanosized objects in modern technologies.
