The energy dependence of the cross section of superelastic electron scattering by the metastable cadmium atom Qs(E) has been measured for the first time. Negative-ion formation cross sections for thymine and uracil molecules have been determined experimentally for the first time. The maximum values of the above cross sections at the 1.1 eV electron energy reach 8.2х10 сm (thymine) and 5х10 сm (uracil).
