Object of the Research: processes and outcomes of the structural inequalities and conflicts institualizaton in contemporary Ukraine and some societies of Central and Eastern Europe. Subject of the Research: objective and subjective trends of social inequalities; political formes of conflicts caused by deepening of social inequalities Goal of the Research: study of the process of crystallization of macrostructural social inequalities and conflicts in Ukraine and comparison with the relevant processes in some societies of Central and Eastern Europe. Methods of the Research: document and statistical analysis, in-depth interview, monitoring of events, content-analysis of the press, secondary data analysis of the cross-national comparative researches. Scientific Result of the Research: there was developed a conception, methodology of comparative research and variables for sociological measurement of social inequalities in Ukrainian society; formulated conceptual bases of measurement of subjective well-being, social inclusion and exclusion, that facilitate societal integration and exclusion in inter-group relationships within the process of institutionalization of social inequalities oriented toward universalistic and individualistic value systems; there was conceptualized a role of the language of the conflict in the process of identities institualization that are developing under structuration of the new forms of inequalities in Ukraine and some societies of Central and Eastern Europe. Empirical Base of the Research: European Social Survey (2004/5, 2007), Social Monitoring by the Institute of Sociology National Academy of Science of Ukraine (1994-2008), INTAS research project (Ref. 04-79-7018) "Comparing Societal Integration of the Turkish and Related Minorities: Institutional Strategies of INTAS and CIS Countries" (2005-2007), NATO cooperation grant (Ref. SST.NUKR.CLG. 981080), results of the research projects Euromodule (1998-2000), research report of the Foundation for the Living and Working Conditions Improvement Eurobarometer (2002), European Research of the Quality of Life (2003-2006), Social Inclusion in Europe (2005). Data collected as a result of this research could be used for the state policy towards stimulation of the market and democratic transformations in the society, development of the middle classes, decreasing of social inequalities and social tension. The results of the research have a great importance for scholars, representatives of state administration and self-government, mass media. The materials of this research could be used for enhancement of the University curriculum in such teaching courses as Theories of Social Stratification, Inequalities in Contemporary Societies, Social Changes in Contemporary World, Social and Political Marketing, Social Policy in Europe, "Qualitative Methods of Social Conflicts Research", "Sociology of Daily life and Political Conflicts" etc. as well as in the further research of the problems of social inequalities, stratification, social tension, social conflicts and social justice.
