The object of the research is a note text, it’s structure and interdependencies between elements, from which note text consists of. Aim of the research is development of computer system for note text input and playback; development of the computer system for automatic accompanying; development of computer system for automatic recognition of note page image. Methods of the study – mathematical modelling and simulation. The results obtained – the interdependencies between note text elements were analyzed and main levels of hierarchy were picked out. This steps had allowed the most suitable hierarchical representation to be selected for a note editor development task. The object-oriented model was developed on the basis of selected representation and the note editor program was got as a result of the model’s implementation. Existing pitch detection methods were analyzed and the method for real-time pitch change detection was developed on the basisofsuch an analysis. The method for accompaniment playback tempo correction on the basis of soloist-driven tempo changes was developed. The algorithms, which had implemented these methods, were created and the very first version of the computer system for automatic accompanying was developed. The methods for structuring of the image, which contains page with note text, and the methods for note text elements search on such an image were developed. The algorithms, which had implemented named image-processing methods, were created and the very first version of the computer system for automatic recognition of note page image was developed. Prognosis: the developed note editor program would allow the intelligent musical-composition processing systems to be created on its basis. Further work on computer system for automatic accompanying and computer system for automatic recognition of note page image would allow creation of modern systems for musicians studying and complicated note text images recognition, respectively.
