The object of research – frontal human face images during the process of articulate on Ukrainian language. The purpose of research: Development of the computer platform system for virtual communication deaf and blind people with recognition of lip articulation in video sequence to recognition of text which pronounced. Methods of research – experimentally-theoretical. The obtained outcomes: The cascade method of human face and lip region detection on the image was worked out. The method of recognition of visual elements of speech which form working alphabet was developed. The algorithm of visem recognition results translation into the words of the used dictionary was realized. The program of automatic words recognition based on lip reading was worked out. Program uses limited dictionary and is needed a brightly articulation expression of the user. Further development: Rising of the computation and qualitative characteristics of the recognition system components, extension of the working dictionary, researching of the possibilities of increasing of recognition rate by using of semantic analyzer and context information.
