In 85.54% of the patients, the malignant lymphoproliferative diseases were diagnosed with the aid of immunocytochemical techniques. In 14.45% of the cases under study, the preliminary diagnosis of malignant lymphoproliferative diseases was not confirmed, and these cases were re-diagnosed. B-cell chronic lymphatic leukemia (B-CCL) was diagnosed in 50.95% of all chronic malignant lymphoproliferative diseases cases under study. In 2.13% of the patients the diagnosis of B-CLL was corrected to B-prolymphocytic leukemia requiring quite different therapeutic strategy. The major immunophemotypic features, which may be indicative of the complicated course of the diseases (such as the expression of the activation antigens), are elucidated. For the differential diagnosis between the acute and chronic lymphoproliferative diseases, morphocytochemical and molecular biological techniques were applied.
