Isolation ageing leads to deterioration of electroprotective properties of isolation which can lead to work emergency operation. Owing to work emergency operation there are refusals of cable products and electric devices. Owing to deterioration of electroprotective properties of isolation of cable products also quite often there is an isolation breakdown because of what, as a rule, there is a short circuit. Short circuit in most cases leads to fire of isolation of cable lines. Fire and a fire from cable production one of principal views of failures at operation of cable products. For prevention of cases which lead unexpected loss by isolation of cable production of electroprotective properties diagnostic procedures are carried out: gauging of resistance of isolation, gauging of a tangent of angle of dielectric losses, definition of level of partial categories and others. Existing methods allow to define an actual state of cable isolation, that is it turns out values of diagnostic parametre and is compared to value of critical parametre. Therefore the problem of reception of the forecast of occurrence of emergency operation of work in cable lines is actual.
