Purpose of the work: to improve the quality of telegamma-therapy by means of introduction of regular control of photon beams of telegamma-therpay apparatuses. Methods of investigation and equipment: ionization and thermoluminescent dosimetry, automatic unit PCL-3, dosimeter UNIDOS E. Results: dosimetric properties of the TLD system created of the basis of an automatic unit PCL-3 and TLD-100 powder (Rexon) with the purpose of application in postal dosimetry audit. For the first time, the correcting factors and correction coefficients for calculation of absorbed dose were established. Calibration of TL system based on unit PCL-3 and TLD-100 (Rexon) powder was performed. The technique of automatic calculation of the doses of irradiated TL detectors was worked out. The measures as to improvement of gamma-therapy quality were suggested. Degree of introduction: dosimetric audit of gamma-therapy units beams was introduced in 10 medical establishments of Ukraine. Instruction about irradiation of thermoluminescent detectors and dosimetric audit of telegamma-therapeutic units was introduced in 35 medical establishments of Ukraine. Area of application: medicine, clinical dosimetry, radiation therapy.
