Purpose of the research: to determine antiradiation effect of ultradisperse diamonds on experimental rats at different doses of total exposure. Results and their novelty: For the first time, the changes in the properties of water suspension of ultradisperse diamonds under the action of ultrasound, boiling, storage, continuous mechanical stirring, x-ray exposure (loss of stability) and chemical stabilizers (effect their biological properties) was determined in vitro. Membranotropic properties of nanodiamonds which do not cause hemolysis but changes the shape of erythrocytes was revealed. For the first time, radioprotective effect of nanodiamonds and mechanism of its action was determined. Area of application: radiobiology, radiation medicine.
