There have been studied methodological bases of determination of the branch innovative potential; worked out methodical approaches of its determination in the vegetable -growing; investigated the problem of the structure forming of the vegetable - growing innovative potential at the modern stage of development of economic formings, that will allow to define priority directions of the development of research establishments innovative activity in the vegetable - growing branch; improved theoretical - methodological approaches as for evaluation of innovations economic efficiency in the vegetable - growing on the basis of the normative method of cost price determination; conducted the economic evaluation of innovations efficiency in the vegetable growing. Introduction of a new variety of tomato with keeping to the varietal agrotechnics, which was conducted at Kyiv Experimental Station of IVM, indicates that the harvest increase with respect to the control is 35 c/ha and the level of production profitability is 120.
