As a result of immunological investigations, antibodies to influenza A virus subtypes Н3, Н4, Н5, Н7, Н8, Н9, Н10, Н13, Н14 and to Newcastle disease virus were detected in wild birds. Virus of highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N1 was isolated from wild birds. Sequence analysis of influenza virus genome A/ Great Crested Grebe/Sevastopol'/Crimea/11-172/2008 has been conducted. Amino acid sequence of hemagglutinin cutting site PQGERRRKKR*GLF has been determined. Some biological, morphological and molecular-genetic characteristics of Newcastle disease lentogenic virus ND/ mallard/Askania Nova/ТМ434778/2002 have been investigated. Sequence analysis has been conducted, its belonging to early strains of Newcastle disease virus has been determined, electron-microscopic investigations have been conducted. Virus antigenic characteristics and receptor specificity have been studied. Virus ND/ mallard/Askania Nova/ТМ434778/2002 has been deposited to the State Scientific Control Institute of Biotechnology and Strains of Microorganisms.
