The main tasks are: to provide complex investigations of the holocoenotic coverage of Zmeinyj Island; to develop a strategy that could be used for: biodiversity renovation; reclamation of the disturbed lands; creation of the stable ecosystems; protection and rational usage of the natural environment. All the method used in the present investigation are absolutely conventional from the point of view of biogeocenology, geobotany, soil science and information technologies. The complex investigations deal with: structure-functional organization of the components of holocoenotic systems; interrelations between these components; cyclic and seral dynamics; biological cycle rate, vitality and stability of the ecosystems of Zmeinyj Island. The strategies of biodiversity renovation, creation of soil-reclamation, erosion-preventive and recreation phytocenoses were developed. All the obtained data would be used for a further development of an infrastructure and optimization of an economical activity of Zmeinyj Island.
