Purpose of the work is research and determination of compounding of solid mixtures, estimation of their durability with the use of tailings of the Hydrometallurgical Plant for filling of sectors of surface tailings storage facilities. Methods of the research are analytical, including the analysis of solid mixtures compositions; using cement, blast-furnace slag and ash as binding agents; estimation of the results of the research on uranium ore processing waste utilization as a filling agent, including tailings of the Hydrometallurgical Plant for filling of sectors of superficial tailings storage facilities. Results of the research - contain the analysis of experience in solid mixtures use for immobilization of tailings of the Hydro-metallurgical Plant, as well as compounding of solid mixtures with their use and estimation of durability, tech-nologies of preparation and placing of the tailings of Hydrometallurgical Plant-2 into superficial storage facili-ties. There was established possibility of solid mixtures application using cement, blast-furnace slag and ash as binding agents, and tailings of the Hydrometallurgical Plant as a filling agent for their immobilization during filling of sectors of superficial tailings storage facilities; the sequence of placing of the solid mixture produced into the storage facility is determined. Scientific novelty consists in new technology of preparation of solid mixtures using cement as a binding agent, and tailings of the Hydrometallurgical Plant as a filling agent for their immobilization during filling of sectors of superficial tailings storage facilities; use of sloping layers of solid mixture in a sector of the tailings storage facility for diversion of excessive water; differentiated dos-age of astringent mixture depending on the depth of filling of a sector. Social value is in increase of envi-ronmental and population protection quality in the area affected by the mining enterprise on the basis of the Novokostyantynivske deposit of uranium ore. Prognosis suggestions about development of the subject of the research: the results of the research will be used during development of the project documents for mining of the reserves of the Novokostyantynivske deposit of uranium ore.
