The aim of the research is to analyse the potential of the enterprise and the abilities of its management, alongside with the development of basic competences in the sphere of abilities for management formation. For the purpose of research fulfillment, systemicand complex approaches have beeen applied. The methods of research: traditional methods of economic analysis, economic mathematical methods, rate method. The data processing is accomplished with the help of computer technologies and software. In the process of investigation: the essense and the problems which occur in the process of enterprise potential management have been theoretically analysed; the method of market, industrial and financial possibilities of the enterprise has been introduced; on the basis of the method proposed, the study of prospective enterprise potential has been fulfilled; the organisational struture of the enterprise has been studied in order to verify its functional correspondence to the processes of enterprise potential management; the results of theoretical investigation have been practically tried. The following results have been obtained: the basic competences for enterprse potential management have been theoretically developed; the method of enterprise potential practical use allows to upgrade the level of positive possibilities use and to minimize possible negative effect has been introduced.
