Purpose of work - to develop integral socially philosophical conception of becoming of design in modern society. Base for the analysis of design in conditions of transformation of modern society are followings methods: comparatively - historical, which allows to analyse the different forms of life and dynamics of becoming of design in the temporal coordinates of certain historical epoch; fenomenological, that allows to understand essence of the design phenomenon as the difficult general civilizacion phenomenon and his deep connection with spiritual energy of fundamental principle of pure; dialectical, that enables to consider development of design in cooperating with outward things and personality; scientific methods are analogies, analysis and synthesis, ascent, from abstract to concrete, that instrumental to philosophical comprehension of design as the integral phenomenon. Results of scientific research consists in that the row of the recommendations of becoming of formation of design developed by an author is inculcated in practice of teaching in the Zaporizhzhya national technical university in speciality "Industrial design". The circle of theoretical-conceptual positions of research is certain it can be used for development of lecture courses from disciplines "Design philosophy", "Industrial design", "Design of interior", "Landscape design and others.
